Northdale is home to four Oakridge public elementary schools: Oakwood, Maplewood, Pinecrest, and Brookside, as well as Northdale and Ridgeview Middle Schools and Northdale High School. Also located in Northdale is St. Jude Parish School serving preschool 3s through eighth grade.

Located next to Northdale High School, the Northwest Aquatic Center features a thrilling water slide, zero-depth entry, water mushroom, and shaded swim deck. Oakridge Parks and Recreation hosts summer swim lessons here.

Northdale boasts four beautiful parks: Northdale Park, Briarwood Park, Meadowbrook Park, and Willow Creek Park. All parks are spacious and have playgrounds and picnic facilities, plus easy access to the Greenway Bike Trail.
